Virginia redshirt junior tight end Colter Phillips, who missed last week’s 34-31 win at Indiana with an ankle injury, is listed as doubtful on the injury report the team released Thursday.

It’s unlikely Phillips – the usual starter – will play Saturday in the ACC opener at North Carolina, which means more reps for junior Paul Freedman and redshirt sophomore Jeremiah Mathis.

Also, reserve middle linebacker Henry Coley will sit out Saturday’s game with what the team is describing as a lower extremity injury. Strong-side linebacker Aaron Taliaferro is listed as questionable with an upper extremity injury. Rest will be in short supply for starting linebackers Steve Greer, LaRoy Reynolds and Ausar Walcott against the Tar Heels.

Here’s the rest of Virginia’s injury report …
