Keep an eye on senior wide receiver Kris Burd on Saturday when Virginia hosts Idaho. Burd ranks No. 7 on Virginia’s all-time receptions list (118) and No. 10 on the program’s all-time receiving yards list (1,527).

Against a porous Idaho pass defense, Burd has an opportunity to move even higher up both charts. So far this season, Burd is averaging 5.5 catches and 62.5 receiving yards per game.

If he met those averages today, he would surpass Dave Sullivan (1970-72) and Germane Crowell (1994-97) and climb into the No. 5 spot on the all-time receptions list. He also would surpass Bruce McGonnigal (1987-90) and Sullivan and climb into the No. 8 spot on the all-time receiving yards list.

The Vandals have allowed opponents to gain an average of 301.8 passing yards per game thus far this season, which is worse than all but five FBS teams in the nation. There should be plenty of opportunities for Burd and the other Virginia wide receivers to post big numbers today, regardless of whether sophomore Michael Rocco or true freshman David Watford is under center.
