Amy Winehouse was cremated at Golders Green Crematorium on Tuesday after friends and family paid their final respects to the soul singer at a private service, the BBC reports.
A funeral service was held for the singer at Edgwarebury Lane Cemetery in London. Producer Mark Ronson, Kelly Osbourne and Reg Traviss, the singer’s former boyfriend, were among the mourners. Osbourne wore her hair in Winehouse’s signature beehive style.
Mitch Winehouse, Amy’s father, delivered a eulogy and concluded by saying, “Good night, my angel, sleep tight. Mummy and Daddy love you ever so much.” The service ended with the Carole King song, “So Far Away,” the BBC reported.
The family will now hold Shiva for two days.
Winehouse was found dead at her home Saturday. Ronson called it “one of the saddest days of my life,” while Osbourne tweeted, “I can’t even breathe right now I’m crying so hard. I just lost one of my best friends. I love you forever Amy and will never forget the real you.”
An autopsy conducted Monday did not establish cause of death. Toxicology tests are expected within two to four weeks.
