Announcement: The end of Celebritology

I have an announcement to make: Celebritology is ending and The Post will be consolidating all personality news under the Reliable Source brand.

I was offered another position within the newsroom but after much consideration, I decided that it wasn't quite right for me. So, after 12-plus years at The Post, I have decided to leave my full-time job here. I plan to write freelance, so you’ll still see my name floating around.

The last Celebritology live discussion will happen this Thursday at 2 p.m. and the final Celebritology posts will be published this Friday, Dec. 21.

For now, I'll just say thank you to every loyal reader that I, Celebritology founder Liz Kelly and my other former blogging partner, Sarah Anne Hughes valued so much.

You are what has made Celebritology such a vibrant, smart and fun place to visit every day.

Now, as a fun flashback, here's an old Twits video for your enjoyment.

When she isn’t at a movie theater or writing about movies, Jen Chaney is ... um ... probably at home, watching a movie.
