The Guns N’ Roses frontman had three gold-and-diamond necklaces stolen from him Tuesday at private party following the show, a Police spokesperson told the AP. CNN reports that the alleged theft took place in a lounge that was guarded by Rose’s security.

The AP added, rather curiously, that “it didn’t appear Rose was wearing the necklaces at the time.”

Guns N’ Roses is currently touring Europe. Rose, who recently declined an induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, has not commented on this incident.

Clearly, the reported theft is a bad thing. But it has given former “Daily Show” writer Chris Regan the opportunity to tweet the joke, “Axl Rose robbed of 200K in jewelry. 50K in skulls rings, 150K in plastic cornrows beads,” so at least there’s that.
