When Mrs. Jay-Z announced at the MTV Video Music Awards that she was expecting a baby — a baby that Celebritology will continue to refer to as Sasha Fetus — her fans were eager to hear all the details. And she seems willing to give them. Here are five of her best quotes about her pregnancy, or, as we in Celebritology prefer to call it, her pregnance.

She is not sick or slowing down

In case you were worried that Beyonce would stop running the world now that’s she’s expecting, she assured the Associated Press that she will not slow down:

“It is important that I don't look at this as like an illness. I am not sick. I am the same woman and I have the same passions.”

She is empowered

Carrying what will presumably be one of the most talented infants ever born is having a positive effect on B’s self esteem. “I feel free. I feel very empowered,” she told ET Canada.

She is glad you don’t hate her

Rumors of a Beyonce-Jay-Z baby have been circulating since they tied the knot in 2008. But when the time actually came to tell the world about her pregnancy, Beyonce was worried that we would be tired of hearing about it.

“I was just wondering how it's going to be when one day I am pregnant and everyone's like, ‘Oh God, I don't want to hear this again,’ ” she told ET Canada. “But I'm happy that people were happy.”

She is having “fun”

While many are certainly enjoying her pregnancy (playing guess Beyonce’s baby name, etc.), it’s good to know she is as well.

“I am having so much fun, it has been the most fun time now that it has been announced,” she told CNN UK.

Beyonce’s big baby announcement at the MTV VMAs stole the show and was universally considered awesome. Even more awesome? Beyonce dreamed the whole thing ahead of time.

“You know, I dreamt it, actually,” Beyonce told “Access Hollywood.” “There were so many rumors about me being pregnant every three months for the past couple of years — I thought the best way and classiest way was to just show it.”
