People magazine reports that the father of Miley Cyrus says he wants to “put my family back together” on today’s episode of “The View.”
Cyrus filed for divorce back in October from his wife of 17 years, citing those standard “irreconciliable differences” as the reason. Now things must be looking more reconciliable.
He’s also dialing back the rhetoric about how “Hannah Montana” ruined his family, something he recently said in a GQ article. He tells the ladies of “The View” that fame is more to blame for his troubles than the Disney Channel show itself. (But didn’t we all assume that’s what he meant?)
In other Cyrus-related signs of reconciliation, Miley’s cover of the Poison power balled “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” may finally get released. E! Online’s Marc Malkin reports that the song was held back by record label Hollywod Records after tabloid reports circulated that Michaels and Tish Cyrus had an affair, something both Michaels and Cyrus denied.
Cyrus’s label will put out the song later this year, allowing the world to finally hear Miley croon about how every cowboy sings a sad, sad song. Maybe she can even perform it when her parents hold a ceremony to renew their vows.
