Pitt and Jolie: could this be their wedding weekend? (Amy Sancetta/AP)

Will Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie get married this weekend? Unconfirmed speculation says yes. But then, doesn’t it always? British tabloids report that the parents of Pitt have arrived at the couple’s French chateau, the alleged site of the alleged wedding, and that Jolie’s jeweler, Robert Procop, is there, too. The Sun says the couple is holding a party to celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary of Pitt’s mom and dad, which is Aug. 11, but Digital Spy suggests this could be a dual marriage celebration. Update: As is typical for anything involving Jolie/Pitt, these rumors are looking more false by the minute. People now reports that the wedding is definitely not happening this weekend. In related news, X17 Online is super-ticked off because the outlet sent a photographer to stake out the couple’s chateau, which (their words) is “pretty much in the middle of nowhere.” And now there appears to be no wedding. How dare they?
