“Thank you all for your concern. I wasn't feeling great so I called the paramedics, but I'm fine. The mouth to mouth was totally unnecessary,” Degeneres tweeted.

The “Ellen” host explained the scare to her studio audience, saying she was feeling “tightness” in her chest Sunday night: “It was a cat so I moved it. I still felt the tightness and heaviness so there was another cat under that cat. There were two cats on my chest.”

The pain continued Monday morning, so she called 911: “About 50 trucks and ambulances, like one marching band short of a parade showed up outside of my office.

“Then they come in with an axe. Break the door down. It was open. I don't know why they did that. They came in, they asked me all the questions: 'How are you feeling? When did it start? Family history? Can I get tickets to the 12 Days [of Giveaways show]?” All the questions that they would ask but everything is fine.”

DeGeneres thanked the people who responded to her call. She also showed some love to TMZ, who first reported that the comedian was having a health issue.

Watch DeGeneres joke about her health scare in a segment airing Tuesday below.
