Al Pacino could play Joe Paterno in a film or TV project based on the late Penn State coach. The potential project is in an extremely preliminary stage; no screenplay has been written, and no studio or network has agreed to take on the movie, based on Joe Posnanski’s book “Paterno.” But Pacino’s talent agency confirmed a report last week from Deadline that said Pacino is interested in the role. Tom Hanks, Jay Leno and “Green Mile” director Frank Darabont were among those who paid tribute to Michael Clarke Duncan at a memorial service Monday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in L.A. Duncan died last week at the age of 54, having never fully recovered from a heart attack in July. (Associated Press)
FYI: Kim Kardashian recently compared her failed marriage to Kris Humphries to having cancer. “We had done filming our season at that point, so we decided to film for the wedding,” she told the Guardian. “And that was a decision that he and I made together. But I think that, with any decisions in life, like, I spoke to a girl today who had cancer and we were talking about how this is such a hard thing for her, but it taught her a big lesson on who her friends are and so much about life. She’s 18. And I was like, that’s how I feel.” (Guardian)
