This will be the actress’s fourth time hosting, her first since 2006 when her legal drama and rehab trips began. Jack White will serve as the musical guest.

Lohan is set to appear in court Wednesday for what will hopefully be her penultimate probation hearing. Should she stay on track with her community service, the actress will be free from the court system on March 29.

Hosting “SNL” is seemingly the next step in Lohan’s comeback plan. The 25-year-old recently posed nude in Playboy, although it’s not entirely clear what impact, if any, this will have on her career. She will also reportedly play Elizabeth Taylor in a Lifetime movie, a source told “Access Hollywood.” (Fifty-two percent of voters in a Celebritology poll called this casting news “horrifying and an insult to Taylor’s legacy.”)

Will “SNL” be able to tackle Lohan’s very public legal troubles and many (many) court appearances in an actually funny way? Will Lohan be able to regain some of the goodwill she’s lost over the past six years? Is there anyway this won’t be an absolute trainwreck?

If you’ve got an opinion, share it in the comments. Then watch some clips from Lohan’s previous hosting gigs below.
