Nicolas Cage denies he’s a time-traveling vampire on ‘Letterman’

“There is a resemblance, but — how can I be polite about this? — it’s a somewhat slowed down version of me,” Cage explained of his moustached doppelganger.

In September, an eBay seller attempted to auction off a photo, taken in 1870, of an unidentified man from Bristol, Tenn. that he believed proved Cage was some sort of “walking undead / vampire ... who quickens / reinvents himself once every 75 years.” The seller was charging $1,000,000 for the photo, but the auction disappeared.

Cage protested this theory (perhaps too much?), telling Letterman, “I don’t drink blood and the last time I looked in the mirror I had a reflection.”

The actor was on “Letterman” to promote “Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance.” He also discussed the maybe haunted woods in Romania where he filmed the movie, his friendship with Charlie Sheen and the one time he almost went to airport jail. Watch the full interview here, and some clips below.
