Initial autopsy results for “Jackass” star Ryan Dunn and passenger Zachary Hartwell, who died Monday morning in a car accident, were released earlier today, citing blunt force and thermal trauma as the causes of the mens’ deaths.

The Chester County coroner’s office released the autopsy report, which notes that the impact of the crash as well as the resulting fire were responsible for killing Dunn, 34, and Hartwell, who has been identified as a 30-year-old production assistant on the second “Jackass” movie. Dunn’s Porsche jumped a guardrail, flew through 40 yards of trees, struck one and burst into flames during the single-car collision, which took place around 2:38 a.m. Monday morning on Route 322 in the area of Pottstown Pike in West Chester, Pa..

Toxicology results, along with the official autopsy, will be released by the West Goshen Township Police Department in the coming weeks.
