During an interview with Australia’s “Sunrise,” former Spice Girl Melanie Brown, may have let it slip that the “girl power” group has plans to reunite during Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee celebration. The events, planned for June, will mark the queen’s 60th year on the throne.

After an interviewer asked whether the Spice Girls plan to reunite at the London Summer Olympics, Mel B responded, “Well, we do have the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee coming up.”

“Oh, did I really say that?” she quickly added, while nervously waving her hands like a robot.

The Spice Girls — Brown (Scary), Emma Bunton (Baby), Victoria Beckham (Posh), Geri Halliwell (Ginger) and Melanie Chisholm (Sporty) — broke up in the late ’90s and reunited in 2007 for a European-North American tour. The women actually met the queen during the peak of Spice mania in 1997, as this picture shows.
