Although her songs may be about puppy love, Taylor Swift showed she’s got a pretty grown-up view about dating in the public eye on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” airing today.

When DeGeneres asked whether it’s hard to have her romances publicly documented, the 21-year-old singer said: “I think it’s just obnoxious if I complain about anything. . . . I hear people talk about, like, ‘Oh, and the intrusions on my privacy.’ It’s like, there are a million other jobs you could have had. And, for me, I’ve just come to an acceptance of the fact that this is my life.”

You’d think that Swift would be a little bitter about the tabloid fodder surrounding her relationships and rumored romances, but it seems she’s staying positive: “Live your life. If people happen to take pictures, then, you know, you laugh about it in the car afterward.”
