Watch the first trailer for ‘The Help’

The first trailer for “The Help,” the much-anticipated film version of Kathryn Stockett’s best-selling novel, has arrived online. The novel, set in Mississippi during the early 1960s, is told from the perspective of two African American maids, Minny Jackson (Octavia Spencer) and Aibileen Clark (Viola Davis), and a white college graduate, Eugenia Phelan (Emma Stone). Despite my grandmother’s strong recommendation, I haven’t read the book yet. For those of you who have, watch the trailer, then tell us what you think in the comments.
