Admissions 101: Using your SAT and ACT scores to pick a college

Most college guides note the mid-range of their students’ SAT scores for each part of the test. Why not compile a list of colleges whose mid-range includes your score and focus on those when writing your applications?

You can take a wild stab at a couple or schools out of your range, but keep your expectations in line. Is this idea not aspirational enough? Does it overlook some factor? Let me know in the comments below.
