- A cache of up to 700 unreleased Thin Lizzy songs has been given to Universal Music and a portion of the material will be released as part of a box set later this year. The material was hoarded by frontman Phil Lynott, and comes from the 1971-1981 era, which includes the Irish hard rockers best-loved album, 1976’s “Jailbreak.” (“Cowboy Song,” above is an all-timer.)

- Bonnie Raitt ’s first album in seven years will be out on April 10. Now Bon Iver will have some new material to cover.

- It’s a meeting of D.C. institutions at 12:30 p.m. today when Fugazi’s Ian MacKaye is a guest on the Kojo Nmandi show. The two will talk about Fugazi’s recently-launched live music archive.
