Chris Brown set to top Billboard charts; 9:30 Club lawsuit to be dismissed; Salome loses vocalist

- A lawsuit by the owners of the 9:30 Club to stop tax money from being used to build a new Live Nation-operated venue in Silver Spring will be dismissed, according to the Gazette.

- Sort of local, all awesome doom metal band Salome will almost certainly be a little less awesome. Singer Kat Katz has left the band, not exactly on the best of terms.

- Also leaving on not great terms - the current lineup of punk veterans Screeching Weasel . The band made the wrong kind of headlines at last week’s SXSW festival when cranky frontman Ben Weasel got agitated by fans at a show and ended up punching a female fan.
