Grammys announce first wave of performers: Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, Foo Fighters; Black Tambourine reunite

- Local lo-fi indie trailblazers Black Tambourine have reformed to perform a series of shows celebrating Chickfactor, the great ’90s magazine that once celebrated all things indie and twee. The band plays Artisphere in Arlington on April 7.

- If anything, the great surge in local hip-hop in recent years has produced a spate of music videos where our city’s streets figure prominently. The new video from Ashton Travis, a rapper from Houston-via-Howard-University, appears to be shot in one take on Mt. Pleasant Street. Watch below. (Warning: Explicit lyrics.)
