R. Kelly visits Verizon Center in July; The National curating Grateful Dead tribute album; The Dude gets a deal

- Indie rockers love the Grateful Dead. At least some of the, including brooders the National, who say they are curating a tribute album to the jam band gods. The project is not yet out of the idea stage, but acts such as Bon Iver and Fleet Foxes have expressed interest.

- Jeff Bridges has scored a record deal, singing with Blue Note Records. He’ll work with legendary producer T Bone Burnett and we’re pretty sure the album will be better than anything Gwyneth Paltrow releases.
