CHARLOTTESVILLE--The head of the University of Virginia’s governing board met Monday morning with leaders of the Faculty Senate to discuss the removal of President Teresa Sullivan.

The meeting between the head of the governing Board of Visitors, Rector Helen E. Dragas, and the Faculty Senate Executive Council occurred in private. Later in the day, the board is expected to meet to discuss the naming of an interim president.
