“I was very excited and humbled by the experience,” says comics artist Frank Cho, who was in attendance as The Post Magazine video won a regional Emmy.

“I’m also grateful that Alexandra Garcia let me hold the Emmy,” added the “Liberty Meadows” creator, referring to The Post journalist who shared the award.

“Still on cloud nine.”

The Post video “Creating Frank Cho’s World” won a regional Emmy over the weekend for its visual storytelling.

Video journalists Alexandra Garcia and Benedict de la Cruz received the award for single arts/entertainment news story at the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences’s 53rd Emmy Awards for the National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter.

“Creating Frank Cho’s World” showed how the Post Magazine and the cartoonist created a “Liberty Meadows”-inspired set for a cover photo shoot. The accompanying Magazine article profiled the Maryland-based artist at midcareer.

The Post won a total of eight regional Emmys — its biggest tally yet.
