Did the White House just rickroll its 2 million Twitter followers?


Yes, it did, at the end of today’s White House Chat on Fiscal Policy.

Mazel Tov, whoever is operating the White House Twitter! If this were 2008, everyone would think you were wildly hip and probably want to have beer summits with you.

If you don’t know what Rickrolling is, here is a link that is relevant to the discussion!

And here is a definition of what just happened, which can be summarized as “linking to a video of Rick Astley singing ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ instead of to anything that might be relevant to the discussion, a practice the Internet has traditionally found limitlessly amusing.”
