One woman is dead following an apparent domestic dispute in Centreville that turned violent, Fairfax County police said.
A man stabbed a woman to death and and wounded another man in an apartment in the 13000 block of Braddock Springs Road shortly after 5:30 a.m., said Officer Lucy Caldwell, a county police spokeswoman.
The suspect was also stabbed during the incident, but it is unclear whether he stabbed himself or was stabbed by one of the victims, according to Caldwell.
The woman was declared dead at the scene and the two men were transported to a local hospital, Caldwell said. Police have not released a motive for the attack, but said all three people knew each other. The exact nature of their relationship remains unclear.
The woman’s slaying is the fifth homicide in Fairfax County this year.
