10 years in prison for D.C. man who sexually abused teen girl

A District man has been sentenced to more than a decade in prison for sexually abusing a teenage girl, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.

Marcelo Perez, 31, pleaded guilty in August to first-degree child sexual abuse.

He admitted to sexually abusing his girlfriend’s 15-year-old daughter on Oct. 28, 2009, while the two were alone in the family’s Northwest D.C. home.

Perez was sentenced to 10-and-a-half years in prison, followed by five years of supervised release.
