2 wounded men found in car in Montgomery

Two men with gunshot wounds were found Tuesday night in a car in Montgomery County and police were trying to determine how they were shot.

Police found the men with wounds described as not life-threatening . near Route 29 and Briggs Chaney Road, in the northeastern part of the county, near Burtonsville, police said.

They were found after police received a call about 7 p.m. for a possible stabbing in a parking lot in the 12700 block of Old Columbia Pike, said officer Britta Thomas, a police spokeswoman.

She said nothing was found in the parking lot, but a description was given of a car that might have been linked to the incident. Police stopped a car that appeared similar to the description, and found the two wounded men, Thomas said.
