Man found fatally shot identified by police

The man found fatally shot in a car in the District Saturday night has been identified by police.

D.C. police said Darnell Rivers, 22, of Southeast, was found about 8 p.m. in the 5000 block of Ayers Place, SE.

It appeared that the car’s engine was running when authorities arrived.

Two other men, who were wounded, apparently in the same incident, were later found at a hospital, police said.

No information was available about motive or suspects.

A reward of up to $25,000 is available for information leading to an arrest and conviction, police said.
