RICHMOND, Va. — Three finalists have been selected for a public-service announcement campaign addressing Virginia college campus safety and violence prevention.

Gov. Bob McDonnell announced Tuesday the finalists are Virginia Intermont College, Longwood University and Wytheville Community College.

Eleven public-service announcements were submitted. Videos were judged on their overall theme, message, originality and technical production.

Online voting will be conducted through Aug. 26 and a winner will be announced in September.
