35 years for Va. man on gang, gun crimes

NORFOLK, Va. — A 23-year-old gang member from Portsmouth man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for participating in a pattern of racketeering activity, including murder.

Kiwanii Edward Mosley was also sentenced in federal court on Tuesday to 10 years in prison on charges of possessing a firearm during a violent crime.

Court records say Mosley and another member of the Bounty Hunter Bloods / Nine Tech Gangsters were robbing a Portsmouth home in 2007 when three people were shot, two of whom later died.

Prosecutors said Mosley was also involved in other robberies and the distribution of illegal drugs.
