More than a quick smoke was on the mind of a suspected thief who reportedly stole more than $8,000 worth of cigarettes from a storage box at an Exxon gas station in Loudoun County.
The county sheriff’s office said a man driving a bright red, two door coupe broke into a locked container and removed several cases of cigarettes on Feb. 6 at the gas station in the 37200 block of Jefferson Pike in Loudoun near the West Virginia line.
The car had its left fog light out and a large dent on the passenger side near the front fender, according to the sheriff’s office, as well as a sun roof and a small rear spoiler.
A private reward of $2,500 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and indictment in the case.
