Afternoon stabbing in Northeast D.C.

A woman was stabbed Monday during a dispute near a gas station in Northeast Washington, police said.

They said the incident occurred at Benning Road and Oklahoma Avenue NE about 3:30 p.m. The woman was conscious and breathing as paramedics took her to a hospital, police said.

The motive for the attack was not immediately clear.
