Alexandria man arrested in burglaries

Alexandria police have arrested a 20-year-old man who they say broke into several homes and cars in the Rosemont area of the city.

Vincent Edward Evans, of Alexandria, was charged Monday with burglary and other offenses in connection with two cases, one in the 300 block of West Masonic View Avenue and another in the 100 block of East Linden Street.

He was also charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. Evans was taken to the city’s jail where he is being held without bond. Police say they are still investigating and may charge him with additional offenses.
