Alleged burglars caught on video at D.C. elementary school

D.C. police are looking for three men who they believe broke into a Capitol Hill elementary school and stole electronic devices last week.

The suspects allegedly broke into Brent Elementary, in the 300 block of North Carolina Avenue SE, before dawn last Friday.

The men, wearing dark clothing and masks, were recorded by a surveillance camera shattering a window to gain entry to the school and running through the hallways. The burglary happened around 4 a.m., several hours before students reported to class.

There were no injuries reported in connection with the burglary, but school property was damaged. Various electronic devices were taken, police said. The suspects fled on foot.

Anyone with information about the burglary or the suspects is asked to call 202-727-9099 or submit a tip via text message to 50411.
