Around 5 a.m., police responding to a report of domestic violence found a 38-year-old female with stab wounds to the upper body, according to Anne Arundel County Police.

The victim was taken to the Baltimore Washington Medical Center where she was pronounced dead, police said.

The woman’s 20-year-old daughter was also taken to the hospital with injuries police said were not life-threatening.

Police said the man, who was at the home in the 7700 block of Jones Drive in Pasadena when police arrived, assaulted his wife and injured her daughter when she intervened.
