GAMBRILLS, Md. — Maryland State Police say an Anne Arundel County man has been arrested in connection with the distribution of child pornography.

Authorities say 24-year-old Robert Hudson, of Gambrills, Md., is charged with two counts of distributing child pornography. If convicted, he could be sentenced up to 20 years in prison and fined up to 50,000.

State police say a trooper was conducting an undercover operation on a file sharing network known for distributing child pornography, and engaged in a chat with Hudson.

The trooper met with Hudson on Thursday at a public library in Crofton and Hudson was arrested. Authorities say Hudson had agreed to meet with the trooper to exchange files.

Hudson is being held on $275,000 bond.
