Arlington dog walker killed by truck

A 28-year-old woman who was hit by a truck while walking her dog earlier this month died on Wednesday, Arlington County police said.

Alison Beth Drucker was walking her Golden Retriever in the 1400 block of North Quincy Street when she was hit by a truck traveling in the same direction.

She had been hospitalized since the accident.

Drucker was hit by a black Chevy truck driven by Joseph L. Di Filippo, 18, of Arlington, police said.

He was charged with reckless driving, failure to maintain proper control of a vehicle, driving without a license and violation of a learner’s permit.

He was released at the scene, according to police. Additional charges may be pending.
