Two people were in the house at the time of the blaze. Firefighters found Sandra Vidas, 67, unconscious and unresponsive in a first-floor bedroom of the house. She was pronounced dead at a hospital.

A male resident was in the front yard of the home when crews arrived on the scene. He is in the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities said 55 firefighters were at the scene. Two suffered minor injuries and were taken to a hospital.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Authorities said there were no working smoke detectors in the home.
