At least 2 shot in NW D.C.

At least two people were shot Wednesday night on a Northwest Washington street, D.C. police said.

Officers found two wounded victims when they arrived at the scene of the shooting, at 7th Street and Delafield Place in the Brightwood Park area about 7:45 p.m., said Officer Hugh Carew, a spokesman.

A third person arrived at a hospital a short time later with a gunshot wound, and police were investigating whether it was related to the Brightwood Park incident.

No details could be learned immediately about the victims or their conditions. Police did not know of a motive for the shootings.
