At least one badly hurt in Md. inner loop crash

Police and firefighters were on the scene of a collision that left at least one person critically injured on the inner loop of the Capital Beltway Tuesday afternoon.

The crash occurred on the Beltway near Branch Avenue, Prince George’s County fire officials said.

Officials said one person was taken to a nearby hospital in “extremely critical condition.”

State police said troopers were being dispatched to investigate the crash. Further details were not immediately available.
