Body found in Fort Washington creek

Prince George’s County police homicide detectives are investigating a decomposed body that was found in a creek in the Fort Washington area Wednesday night, authorities said.

The body was first discovered by a citizen about 8:32 p.m., in a creek near the 12200 block of Braemer Circle, authorities said. The body was decomposed and has been sent to the medical examiner’s office for further examination, police said.

At this point, even the gender is unclear, police said. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit at 301-772-4925.
