A man found dead Monday in the Potomac River has been identified as 23-year-old Muhammad H. Rehman, of Alexandria, police said Tuesday.

Rehman’s body was found by two recreational boaters, who summoned police to the Belle Haven Marina in the 6400 block of George Washington Parkway, according to Fairfax County police.

Police have said the cause of the man’s death was not clear and that an autopsy would be conducted. They said Rehman was from the 1200 block of South Washington Street in Alexandria.
