Body recovered from Potomac

Authorities recovered a man’s body from the Potomac River near Joint-Base Anacostia-Bolling in Southwest Friday morning, D.C. police officials said.

Harbor patrol officers responded to an area of the river near the 4400 block of Langley Way about 7 a.m., officials said. Police were awaiting a medical examiner’s autospy to determine the cause and manner of death.

The man had not been identified, police said.
