Car crashes into house in Adelphi, no one injured

A car crashed into a house in the Adelphi area of Prince George’s County Monday morning, authorities said.

The incident occurred about 6:30 a.m. in the 9100 block of Riggs Road, said Cpl. Clinton Copeland, a Prince George’s County Police spokesman. He said a family was inside the house at the time, but no one was injured.

Copeland said he did not know why the car left the roadway and crashed into the house or what the specific circumstances of the crash were. He said the driver, who he did not immediately identify, would be cited.
