A Charles County man who was on his own property hunting deer with a bow and arrow fell from a tree stand and died Saturday, police said.
The Department of Natural Resources Police found the man, Albert Castro, 62, at about 12:20 p.m., according to department spokesman Sgt. Brian Albert. Castro was within a few hundred yards of his home in Dentsville.
Police were alerted that something was wrong by Castro’s wife, who could not reach her husband. Albert said it was unclear if Castro made it to the top of the tree stand and accidentally fell, or if he had a medical problem before he reached the top, which caused him to fall down.
