Taco Bell manager in critical condition after shooting in Columbia

The manager of the Taco Bell in Columbia is in critical condition after being shot by two unknown assailants at 12:50 a.m. Sunday, according to Howard County police.

The manager, whose identity was not released, was confronted by the men outside the fast food restaurant in the 7100 block of Minstrel Way. He was shot several times, and two Taco Bell employees called 911, police said.

“The motive is unknown at this time,” a police dispatcher said Sunday, reciting a media statement.

The manager was flown to the Shock Trauma Center at the University of Maryland in Baltimore and was in critical condition Sunday, police said.
