D.C. man’s death after 2008 shooting ruled homicide

A man shot in 2008 has died and his death has been ruled a homicide, D.C. police said.

Officers responding to the 1200 block of Pleasant St. SE shortly after 11 p.m. found Joshua Hardy suffering from a gunshot wound, according to police. He was found unconscious Sept. 20 and taken to a hospital, where he died.

Authorities conducted an autopsy on Hardy on Friday, ruling his death a homicide. Hardy, of Southeast, was 24 when he died.
