Police on Tuesday arrested a 20-year-old man in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred in August 2008 in Southeast Washington, according to the D.C. police.

Christopher Holmes of Southeast was charged with second-degree murder, police said. The 10 a.m. shooting in the 3200 block of 6th St. SE, killed Omar Finney, 22, of Southeast.

Police at the time said officers found the victim lying on a sidewalk and that he was pronounced dead at a hospital.
