D.C. police are seeking to question two people described as “persons of interest” in the early Saturday shooting at a Northeast Washington nightspot that left five people wounded.
Authorities did not say whether either of the two men being sought for questioning — and shown in pictures released by police — are suspected of being the shooter.
The gunman is described as a black male, about 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet tall, with shoulder-length dreadlocks and a full beard. He was wearing all block clothing and had a large silver revolver.
DC Soundstage does not have an alcohol license, but was hosting parties through a catering company, according to police and liquor board officials.
The District’s Alcoholic Beverage Regulation Adminstration is investigating the catering company and the nightspot, and is trying to determine whether businesses are using catering licenses to skirt liquor rules.
Lanier has also asked the District’s alcohol board to strip the catering company of its liquor license.
Anyone with information is urged to call police at 202-727-9099 or text 5011 to the department’s tip line.
Police are offering a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone with information that helps in an arrest and conviction.
