D.C. woman killed in Temple Hills crash

A D.C. woman was killed early Friday when her car collided with a pole in Temple Hills, authorities said.

Brandee McKinney, 21, of Northeast D.C., was driving east in the 2600 block of Brinkley Road just before 2 a.m. when she lost control of her car, veered off the street and hit a steel pole, said Cpl. Larry Johnson, a Prince George’s County police spokesman. She was taken to a nearby hospital, where she later died, Johnson said.

Johnson said investigators are still probing why McKinney lost control of her car.
